ORIGIN: Anatolia
TREE: Tree is a strong and semi-steep growth tendency of our domestic branched and prickly species. Istanbul Akçası or Dikenli Akça are also known and their cultivation is growing in Marmara, Aegean, Mediterranean and Central Anatolia regions. In recent years, seedlings which are grafted to quince root clones are preferred because it is laid on late fruit on the rootstock of pear rootstocks.
FRUIT: The fruit is conical in medium size and the fruit shell is yellow in green background. The fruit is greenish white, juicy, sweet, crispy, fragrant and slightly sandy.
HARVEST TIME: The Egede is harvested in the middle of June and the first week of July.
